C&L Aerospace Acquires Two Additional Saab 340A Aircraft

In a mid-December transaction C&L Aerospace (C&L) announces the acquisition of two Saab 340A aircraft (msn 340A-34 and 340A-68) which formerly operated with two African operators and were subsequently repossessed by a bank in South Africa. C&L have now purchased 13 aircraft of this type and continue to acquire appropriate aircraft as needed.

C&L Announces Bell214ST Helicopter Inventory Purchase

C&L Aerospace (C&L) , with its head office located in Brisbane Australia, announced today that it has finalized a deal to purchase the entire Bell 214ST inventory from McDermott Aviation, also based in Australia. Containing over 4000 line items, the inventory was a large package which included most major components including two complete CT7-2A engines. Also included was a large amount of factory new parts purchased from Bell Helicopter.

In an early-September purchase agreement with Turbo Lease, LLC of Litchfield, CT, Australian based C&L Aerospace (C&L) announces the acquisition of a single SAAB 340B aircraft.  This is the eleventh plane of its type attained by the company, the most recent to be utilized as a partout.

Australian-owned C&L Aerospace (C&L) announced the recent sale of a Saab 340A in a deal brokered by Jameel Wazir, Vice President of Sales, for Finnish regional leasing specialist Alandia Air AB. The aircraft was purchased by CiTylinK (CTK Network Aviation), a regional airline operating out of Accra, Ghana.

Australian-owned C&L Aerospace (C&L) announced the recent sale of a Saab 340B in a deal brokered by CEO and owner Chris Kilgour for Finnish regional leasing specialist Alandia Air AB. The aircraft was purchased by AirLink International and will be operated by South Airlines, a regional airline based in Odessa Ukraine which serves the Eastern European market. “This Saab 340B is a suitable addition to their existing fleet of Saab 340Bs and Antonov turboprops and regional jets,” said Kilgour.

CLAS Announces GE CT7 Fuel Nozzle Repair Capabilities

Beginning in December 2010, C&L Aviation Services (CLAS), a subsidiary of C&L Aerospace, both located in the same building at the Bangor International Airport in Bangor Maine USA, now provides inspection, flow testing, and cleaning of GE CT7 fuel nozzles. CLAS technicians ensure that all GE procedures and maintenance requirements are met following the most current standards and procedures. Although many Saab 340 operators are enrolled in GE’s ECMP, this capability is needed by other Saab 340 operators and also CASA 235 operators.

C&L Aerospace Acquires Two Saab 340Bs

In early November C&L Aerospace of Brisbane Australia purchased two SAAB 340Bs that have been sitting on the tarmac in Townsville Queensland Australia since early 2009. The two 340Bs are ex-MacAir planes, the troubled regional airline that was based in Townsville. In February 2009, the regional airline went into receivership and subsequently ceased operations. C&L Aerospace purchased these aircraft from one of the lessors.

C&L Aerospace Acquires Telford Aviation

Australian-owned C&L Aerospace recently purchased regional aircraft MRO Telford Aviation Services, located at Bangor International Airport, Maine, in a deal brokered by CEO and owner Chris Kilgour.

The new entity, named C&L Aviation Services, was acquired by Kilgour at the end of May 2010.

C&L Aerospace and Alandia Air Announce GE Engine Deal

Finnish regional aircraft leasing specialist Alandia Air AB has purchased GE Engine Services’ entire short term CT7-5 and CT7-9 engine lease pool, consisting of some 20 engines and seven propeller gearboxes.

The CT7 engine has been operating worldwide on the over 400 Saab 340A&B and 230 CASA CN235 twin turbo-props since 1984. Over 1,500 CT7 engines have been delivered since, which have logged at least 20 million flying hours with operators on every continent.
